"Agriculture is a strategic sector that must continue to be strengthened. The presence of Rumah Tani KERSA is a positive step in preparing agricultural human resources as well as encouraging the birth of innovative and productive young farmers," he said. This is known as one of the national food barns. However, the biggest challenge currently facing the agricultural sector is the lack of farmer regeneration and the low interest of agricultural graduates to go directly into the agribusiness sector."Many agricultural graduates ultimately choose to work in the industrial sector. However, if managed seriously, the agricultural sector has enormous economic potential and is able to provide competitive income. Therefore, Rumah Tani KERSA is here to provide study space, field practice, and agricultural business development for the younger generation," he said.Furthermore, he emphasized that the Rumah Tani KERSA program is not only focuses on cultivating plants, but also strengthening downstream and post-harvest aspects so that agricultural products have higher added value.Through collaboration with schools, universities, farmer groups, and MSMEs, Rumah Tani KERSA is expected to be able to become a modern agricultural education center that produces young farmers, agricultural entrepreneurs, and food innovators who are ready to answer future challenges. The existence of Rumah Tani KERSA is an example that agricultural development is not only about food production, but also about creating a learning ecosystem, entrepreneurship, and community empowerment. With a spirit of collaboration, Rumah Tani KERSA targets to become a model for developing millennial farmers that can be replicated in various regions in Indonesia to support the realization of sustainable national food security.
