Seputarkarawang.com - Karawang, Karawang — The Department of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives and MSMEs of Karawang Regency has officially opened a free Intellectual Property Rights (HAKI) registration service for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This program is part of the regional government's efforts to increase competitiveness and provide legal protection for the trademarks of local business actors.This service has entered the initial stage (first term) and can now be accessed by MSMEs in Karawang Regency. Registration can be done easily by scanning the barcode available on the official flyer which has been distributed via social media, or by coming directly to the Karawang UMKM Disperindagkop office.This free IPR program aims to provide legal certainty regarding business brands owned by MSME actors, so that they are not easily imitated or misused by other parties. Apart from that, ownership of IPR is also considered capable of increasing branding value and consumer trust in local products.
The Chairman of the Karawang Entrepreneur Sejahtera UMKM Foundation expressed his appreciation for this initiative. According to him, this program really helps MSME players in building a strong and professional business identity. "This is a strategic step to advance MSMEs.
