This was seen in the visit of the Karawang Regency Agriculture, Food Security and Fisheries Service to the Mawar Bodas II Women's Farming Group (KWT) whose secretariat was at Citra Kebun Mas Housing Block L6 Number 14, Majalaya District, Karawang Regency, on Friday (8/5/2026).During the visit, Mrs. Diah was present as Head of the Institutional Team who provided an explanation regarding the procedures and regulations of farming institutions. He said that in order to be verified and participate in programs from the Department of Agriculture, farmer groups and other agricultural institutions must be registered in the Simluhtan agricultural institutional system. Apart from that, he also appreciated the development of KWT Mawar Bodas II which was considered active and creative in developing processed agricultural products. Some of the products that have been produced include various types of food and drinks made from rosella flowers."Agriculture actually has very high economic value. It just depends on the quality and consistency of the farmers in keeping production stable," said Mrs. Diah in her presentation.Also present at the activity was Mrs. Lia as Head of the Horticulture Team who also explained the various potentials of horticultural agriculture in Karawang Regency. According to him, horticulture has many types of cultivation, both carried out in open fields and using greenhouse systems.
He also explained that the Karawang Regency Government has mapped agricultural zones based on climatic conditions and regional character. Areas such as Pangkalan, Tegalwaru and Loji are considered more suitable for plantation commodities such as coffee and durian. Meanwhile, the Majalaya region is included in the middle zone category which is suitable for cultivating plants such as cucumbers, chilies, eggplants, and various other horticultural plants.The gathering activity was also attended by PPL Bengle Village, millennial farmers, members of the Karawang Entrepreneur Sejahtera (KERSA) MSME community, representatives from the Toyota Indonesia Academy, students from the Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Agrotechnology, and a number of community leaders.On this occasion, the participants hoped that the younger generation, especially in the region Majalaya and Karawang in general are increasingly interested in entering the agricultural, livestock and cultivation sectors.
