Seputarkarawang.com - Karawang, Karawang, 30 April 2026 — The Karawang Entrepreneur Sejahtera UMKM Foundation (KERSA) made a friendly visit to the Majalaya District Office on Wednesday (30/4) at around 14.00 WIB. This visit aims to follow up on plans to form a horticultural farmer group in the area.The KERSA Foundation group was welcomed directly by the Head of Majalaya Subdistrict, Hj. Hesti Rahayu, who expressed full support for the community empowerment program. During the meeting, KERSA conveyed the aims and objectives of forming farmer groups, as well as asking for direction regarding regulations and mechanisms for forming farmer groups so that they could be officially registered.This visit was also a follow-up to the direction of the Karawang Regency Agriculture, Food Security and Fisheries Service, which previously visited Glenmore Farm in the East Telukjambe area. In his direction, the department encouraged the farmer groups to be formed to be immediately registered through the SIMLUHTAN system with assistance from agricultural extension officers (PPL) at the sub-district and village levels.The Majalaya sub-district head said that the sub-district was ready to facilitate this process. In fact, on that occasion, he also contacted a number of related parties at the sub-district and village levels, including directing communication with PPL officers in Bengle Village, which was planned to be the initial location for the formation of farmer groups."The Majalaya District Government really supports every productive community activity, especially in developing the MSME, agriculture and livestock sectors. We are ready to help facilitate and bridge with related parties," said Hesti.From the KERSA Foundation, the representative of the farmer group management, Idris, expressed his appreciation for the openness and quick response from the district. He assessed that the communication that was established was very good and made the coordination process easier."We really appreciate the performance of the Majalaya District which is open, easy to contact, and actively helps us in bridging communication with related parties," he said.This visit is a positive first step in building synergy between the government and the community, especially in developing MSME-based horticultural farmer groups. It is hoped that in the future this collaboration can continue and have a real impact on improving the economy of the people in the Majalaya area and its surroundings.
