Seputarkarawang.com - Karawang, The Karawang Regency Government through the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) has officially taken a big leap in digital transformation by launching the Karawang Regency Regional Tax Information System or SIPAKAR. This innovation is present as a one-stop solution to simplify the tax bureaucracy which has so far been considered fragmented. Through online socialization on Tuesday (31/3/2026), Bapenda introduced this platform to hundreds of taxpayers and strategic partners, including the Association of Land Deed Officials (IPPAT), in order to realize more modern and accountable regional financial governance.The Head of Bapenda Karawang, Sahali Kartawijaya, emphasized that the presence of SIPAKAR is a strategic step to improve the quality of public services in the revenue sector. This system integrates various types of regional taxes into one single platform, starting from Land and Building Rights Acquisition Fees (BPHTB), advertising taxes, ground water, to Certain Goods and Services Tax (PBJT). With this integration, taxpayers no longer need to access many different sites, so the administration process becomes much faster, more transparent and efficient.Along with the launch of SIPAKAR, Bapenda Karawang officially stopped using the old system which previously ran separately, namely the Other Regional Tax Information System (SIPADI) and the Integrated BPHTB Online System (SOBAT). All features from the previous application have now been merged into SIPAKAR to ensure there is no more data overlap. This bold step was taken to support the implementation of an Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) in accordance with Regional Regulation Number 16 of 2018 and Karawang Regent Regulation Number 13 of 2024.This digital service is designed to be user-friendly so that it can be accessed via various devices such as laptops, cellphones and tablets via the official page https://sipakar.karawangkab.go.id. Taxpayers, from hotel, restaurant, parking, entertainment businesses, to the Non-Metal Mineral and Rock (MBLB) sector, can now register, self-assessment, and pay online anytime and anywhere. This ease of access is expected to minimize distance and time constraints which often become obstacles in tax compliance.
Bapenda is optimistic that SIPAKAR will not only make payments easier, but will also strengthen regional government accountability in managing public funds. With a fully digitalized system, the risk of tax leakage can be reduced and the validity of transaction data becomes more accurate. It is hoped that the transparency offered by this platform will be able to build the trust of the public and business actors, so that the local revenue (PAD) target for Karawang Regency in 2026 can be achieved optimally.Synergy between Bapenda and Land Deed Making Officials (PPAT/PPATS) throughout Karawang Regency is also the key to the successful implementation of SIPAKAR, especially in validating property transactions.
