Therefore, digital literacy education at the family level is the main key to breaking the chain of dependence on these dangerous sites."Eradicating online gambling is not enough just to rely on cutting off access or taking down content by the government. The most basic thing is to build awareness within families and communities. We must move together to protect the future of our children from the trap of this illegal practice," said Minister of Communication and Higher Education Meutya Hafid when giving directions to the public.

The Minister of Communication and Technology highlighted the many reports regarding the increase in cases of Domestic Violence (KDRT) due to family members being trapped in gambling debts. This is a warning for Karawang residents to be more alert to changes in the behavior of family members who are starting to show symptoms of gadget addiction for unproductive activities.The Ministry of Communications and Digital continues to take aggressive steps by blocking thousands of gambling sites and content every day. However, Meutya believes that this effort requires cross-sector support, from the National Police, PPATK, OJK, to the banking industry. Apart from that, social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube are also asked to be more proactive in reducing online gambling advertisements which are increasingly targeting internet users in Indonesia.Concluding his directive, the Minister of Communication and Technology invited community leaders, religious leaders, and especially mothers to become the last bastion of defense at home. Meutya advised that supervision of children's digital activities be increased from an early age to save future generations. "Reject online gambling, protect our families, and save the future of Indonesian children. Let's make the environment around us clean from online gambling practices," he concluded.
