Finalizing Waste Management Strategy, DPL UBP Karawang Visits KKN Students in Plered Village

Seputarkarawang.com - Karawang, Field Supervisor (DPL) Buana Perjuangan University (UBP) Karawang, Ir. Dicky Surya Pranatha, S.T., M.T., paid a direct visit to the KKN post in Plered Village, Purwakarta, Tuesday (14/07/2026). This visit focused on a comprehensive evaluation of the progress of the student work program as well as the development of strategies so that the implementation of activities in the field runs more optimally.In the discussion that took place at the post, DPL and the student team dissected the achievements of the ongoing program and identified various challenges in the field. The main focus of this evaluation is synchronizing waste management strategies so that they are truly relevant to community conditions, so that efforts to empower citizens in dealing with waste problems can run more systematically and sustainably.The agenda for this visit provides momentum to review the effectiveness of the steps taken by students. Through in-depth evaluation of existing progress, it is hoped that all future action plans will have clearer references in optimizing the waste management system so that it can be implemented independently by local communities.

While at the post, DPL provided technical direction so that the entire program series was completed with an applicable approach. The main focus emphasized in this evaluation is maximizing active citizen involvement to ensure that the positive impact of this waste management program is maintained after the KKN period ends.Furthermore, this visit is also an opportunity for students to explain the technical obstacles faced during the service period. With direct assistance, solutions to every obstacle in the field can be formulated immediately so that the team's work rhythm is maintained according to the previously determined schedule. It is hoped that this intensive collaboration between students and DPL will become a strong foundation for the success of community service. With the evaluation and maturation of strategies carried out directly, the UBP Karawang KKN program is expected to be able to make a real contribution to creating a cleaner, healthier and more independent Plered Village environment through better waste management.
