Ex-Employee Desperately Triggers Motorbike in Karawang Industrial Park Parking, Police Arrest Perpetrator Through CCTV Footage

Seputarkarawang.com - Karawang, The Karawang Police Criminal Investigation Unit Jatanras Resmob Team succeeded in uncovering a criminal case of motor vehicle theft (curanmor) which targeted the parking area of ​​a manufacturing company in an industrial area. The alleged perpetrator with the initials N (34), who is known to be a former worker at the company, did not move when officers were arrested on Tuesday (7/4/2026). The arrest was made at his residence in the Bumi Karawang Baru Housing Complex, East Telukjambe Village.The Head of Karawang Police Public Relations, Ipda Cep Wildan, confirmed that this arrest was a quick response from the police to reports of theft in the factory area. The perpetrator is suspected of taking advantage of his knowledge of security gaps at the former location where he worked to carry out this reckless action. "We have arrested one perpetrator of the aggravated theft; he is a former employee at the scene," said Inspector Cep Wildan.This criminal case was revealed after the police received two official reports which were submitted to the East Telukjambe Police in mid-March 2026. The first action was reported to have occurred on Wednesday, February 11 2026, against a victim named Sukartin. The victim lost his 2024 blue Honda Beat motorbike with registration number B-5756-FRK when he wanted permission to go home early due to his poor health condition.

Only one month later, on Friday, March 13 2026, a similar incident happened again to another employee named Muamar in the same company parking area. His black Honda Beat motorbike disappeared when he was left at work. Based on the testimony of security officers at the factory gate, the victim's vehicle was seen being taken out by a foreigner whose movements were not suspicious during rush hour.The successful disclosure of this case was triggered by the Resmob Team's tactical steps in analyzing CCTV footage which had gone viral on various social media platforms. Based on the results of visual identification and identity tracing, the police succeeded in establishing an accurate profile of the perpetrator. Suspect N, who was registered as a resident of Tegal Buah Hamlet, Ciptamargi Village, was finally tracked down and arrested along with supporting evidence.During the security process, the police confiscated a blue Honda Beat Deluxe which was confirmed to be a stolen motorbike. For his actions which have harmed his previous co-workers, N is now charged with Article 477 of the Criminal Code concerning aggravated theft. The former employee now faces a maximum prison sentence of seven years to be held accountable for his actions in the eyes of the law.
