According to the KERSA management and community, this activity is part of preparations for the development of a new melon plantation in the Bengle area, Majalaya District. In the future, the community plans to build a modern melon cultivation greenhouse as an educational center as well as to develop community-based agricultural businesses. Melon cultivation is considered to have promising economic prospects because market demand continues to increase and the selling value is relatively high. For this reason, KERSA hopes that Glenmore Farm can become a pioneer of modern horticultural agriculture in Karawang, especially in the development of superior melon commodities.Apart from being a means of education, the development of melon cultivation is also expected to be able to produce modern young farmers who are ready to compete in the agribusiness sector. With good management and appropriate quality standards, it is believed that melons cultivated in Karawang have the opportunity to penetrate the national market and even export."The hope is that Karawang will not only be known as an industrial city, but will also become one of the centers producing quality melons in Indonesia," said one of the administrators of the KERSA MSME community in this activity.Through collaboration between the community, agricultural students and the public, Glenmore Farm is expected to become a real example of the development of modern agriculture that is productive, educational and able to improve the welfare of the surrounding community.
