Seputarkarawang.com - Karawang, Commission I DPRD Karawang held a Hearing Meeting (RDP) with the Aryamandalika Legal Aid Institute (LBH) to discuss the legality of licensing all Night Entertainment Venues (THM) operating in Karawang Regency, as well as discussing the extent of enforcement of Regional Regulation No. 10 of 2021 concerning permits to sell alcoholic beverages. The RDP which took place in Meeting Room I DPRD Karawang was chaired directly by the Chairman of Commission I, Saepudin Juhri, SH, together with members of DPRD Commission I Dede Mulyadi and H. Saryardi, inviting Satpol PP, DPMPTSP, Dinkoperindag, PUPR Karawang, and representatives from one of THM's management, Wednesday (9/7/2026).Founder of LBH Aryamandalika, Hendra Supriatna, SH.MH, conveyed that some time ago the Regent of Karawang together with elements of Forkopimda carried out inspections at several THMs. During the inspection, Karawang Regent H. Aep Syaepuloh found that a number of THMs were suspected of not having permits, such as PBG, SLF permits, and not having permits to sell alcoholic drinks (Minol) in accordance with Regional Regulation No. 10 of 2021, even during the inspection, the Regent found a fake permit at one of the THMs."In this RDP, LBH Aryamandalika wanted to ascertain the extent of the THM-THM licensing process which was discovered by the Regent of Karawang, how the enforcement of Regional Regulation No. 10 of 2021 concerning permits to sell Minol and what the monitoring and action system carried out by the Satpol PP was for THMs that had not been licensed, all of this must run as it should so that the dignity of the Regent of Karawang remains "It is maintained and THM operates in accordance with applicable regulations and in the end can boost Regional Original Income (PAD) from entertainment venues," he stressed. Hendra added, from this RDP it was revealed that there were still many THMs that did not have Minol sales permits or SLF permits, therefore his party urged Satpol PP to act firmly to seal THMs that had not completed permits.
"In the near future, we together with Commission I DPRD Karawang together with related parties will carry out inspections at all THMs in Karawang and we also urge the Karawang Regency Government to immediately form a Licensing Task Force, so that all permits can be monitored and communication between OPDs runs in the same direction," stressed Hendra. 10 of 2021 must be strictly enforced. Saepudin Juhri added that his party recommended that the Karawang Regency Government immediately form a Licensing Task Force containing elements from DPMPTSP, PUPR, Dinkop Perindag, and Satpol PP Karawang to be able to monitor and supervise the entire licensing process for all business premises in Karawang and the monitoring and enforcement functions can run well.
