The perpetrator was determined to end the victim's life in order to take control of his junior's motor vehicle to replace his damaged motorbike. Karawang Police Chief, AKBP Fiki N. Ardiansyah, revealed that the disclosure of this case began with a police report received on May 11 2026. The perpetrator then coordinated with his colleague, YS, to remove traces by removing the vehicle number plate. The motorbike resulting from the crime was finally sold to a collector with the initials S through an intermediary ES (who now has DPO status) for IDR 4.2 million. The perpetrator planned to use the proceeds from the sale of the motorbike to meet his personal economic needs. The police have secured a number of important pieces of evidence, ranging from the victim's cell phone to the clothes the perpetrator wore when carrying out the action. Investigators charged the perpetrator with Article 340 of the Criminal Code concerning premeditated murder. Even though the perpetrator is still a teenager, the looming criminal threat is the death penalty, life imprisonment, or a maximum of 20 years in prison. This case is a strong reminder for parents to be more vigilant about their children's interactions in their surroundings.
