Since the disaster occurred, this small family was forced to survive amidst the rubble of buildings without adequate shelter.In the midst of this difficult situation, a glimmer of hope came. The Regent of Karawang, H. Aep Syaepuloh, immediately visited the location of the fire to see the condition of Grandma Tasih and her family directly. The visit was a form of local government concern for its citizens affected by the disaster.
In front of the remains of the burned building, Aep confirmed that the Karawang Regency Government (Pemkab) would immediately help rebuild the house. "This assistance is distributed through the Livable Homes (Rulahu) program, which is the flagship program of the Karawang Regency Government."We are providing this program to people who really need it. We make sure it is right on target, and Mrs. Tasih is the one who must be helped immediately," stressed Aep when directly inspecting the location, Tuesday (5/5/2026).For Grandma Tasih who is in her old age, the certainty of this assistance is an oasis in the midst of difficult trials. Shelters that were previously turned into rubble are now guaranteed to be rebuilt into safe housing.The Rulahu program itself is designed to help residents who need decent housing, whether due to natural disasters or uninhabitable housing conditions. Through this program, the local government is trying to ensure that all Karawang residents continue to have a healthy and safe place to live.Now, this promise has become a starting point for Grandma Tasih's family to restart their lives.
