In the midst of his financial limitations, he succeeded in assembling a traditional excavator from waste wood and used components to dredge the land in his pond without having to pay for expensive heavy equipment rental costs.This unique innovation was made using various used materials that are still sturdy, such as waste wood, used truck axles, and large gallons of mineral water. The used gallons were cleverly designed to function as floats so that the assembled excavator was able to float and remain stable when operated directly on the water surface of the pond.The idea for making this traditional heavy equipment started from Karya's curiosity, which often saw the operation of heavy equipment in the environment where he worked at PT Pupuk Kujang Cikampek. Armed with high curiosity, he studied the working mechanisms of excavators self-taught through videos on YouTube, especially regarding the hydraulic system and swing scale so that the movement of the dredge arm becomes lighter.
Karya's creative journey did not go smoothly because at the start of its creation it was doubted and became the object of ridicule by local residents. Despite this, he consistently spent around four hours every day after work to assemble the equipment little by little for almost a year until he finally succeeded in completing his pond land. Karya's hard work and perseverance bore fruit after his pond land was successfully filled and compacted, so that the simple house of his dreams can now stand firmly. Not only for building houses, these homemade wooden excavators are now being used sustainably to maintain pond areas from the threat of silting due to piles of mud and rubbish.This inspiring story proves that creativity, a willingness to learn, and an unyielding spirit can break economic barriers to create real solutions. Karya's success not only lightened the burden of his own life, but also became a positive role model and source of inspiration for the wider community in Karawang Regency and its surroundings.
