Seputarkarawang.com - Karawang, The Karawang Pangkal Perjuangan Youth Student Alliance (AMPPERA) officially sent a letter notifying the mass action to the East Telukjambe Police on Monday, April 6 2026. This step was taken in response to the incident that befell their colleagues during a meeting in the Foundation Room, Floor 2, Buana Perjuangan University (UBP) Karawang. The alliance demands clarification and full accountability for alleged acts of intimidation and threats that occurred in the academic environment. In letter number 048/AMPPERA/APR/2026, the alliance explained that this action plan was triggered by alleged acts of intimidation, criminal threats, and even threats of physical violence. This incident allegedly involved a number of important figures, including YT (Chair of the Foundation), Y (Chair of LHKK), and ADJ (Student Affairs). This tension reportedly started when the students coordinated a gathering point for consolidation of actions in the campus area.

The action coordinator, Adjie Rajab, stated in the letter that his party had prepared an estimated crowd of 100 people to take to the streets. The demonstration is scheduled to take place on Thursday, April 9 2026, starting at 10.00 WIB with the main target being the Buana Pangkal Perjuangan Karawang Foundation Office. The masses planned to bring various props such as posters, demand banners and megaphones to voice their protest openly.Despite the increasing tension, AMPERA expressed its commitment to maintaining public order during the speech. They have also officially requested security assistance from the East Telukjambe Sector Police to oversee the delivery of their opinion. This step was taken so that the action demanding justice for their colleagues could proceed according to legal corridors and remain conducive without disrupting public activities around the location. This movement was emphasized as a form of solidarity regarding the alleged death of democratic space in the campus environment. The Alliance considers that legal and physical threats against student activists cannot be justified for any reason, especially under the auspices of educational institutions. Until now, the students are still carrying out intensive field coordination before the mass action is actually held according to the predetermined schedule.
