This incident of sharp armed violence was allegedly triggered by a personal debt issue related to the embezzlement of motorbike deposits worth IDR 12 million. Deputy Head of BGN, Sony Sonjaya, emphasized that this action was not just an ordinary crime, but an attack on state facilities which disrupted public services for the wider community.The chronology of the incident began when two perpetrators came to the location on a motorbike and immediately attacked the security officers who were on guard. The tension escalated until the perpetrator brandished a machete, causing the victim to have to take shelter in the volunteer locker room. It didn't stop there, the perpetrator damaged the door of the facility until it broke open to chase the victim. As a result of the armed conflict, officers suffered slash wounds and broken glass, while office infrastructure suffered significant material damage in the nutrition service area.
The quick response of local residents succeeded in apprehending one of the perpetrators, while the other is still being chased by the police. The officers who arrived at the location immediately carried out a crime scene investigation to collect evidence of the damage. BGN ensures that perpetrators who are caught will be processed legally without compromise in order to provide a deterrent effect. This incident is a serious note for the institution to tighten security standards at all service points for the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program in the West Java region and its surroundings.In response to this incident, BGN is committed to carrying out a total evaluation of the security system and risk mitigation in the field to ensure the safety of officers and volunteers.
