Seputarkarawang.com - Karawang, A total of 1,799 prospective Hajj pilgrims from Karawang Regency are confirmed to be ready to go to the Holy Land during the 2026 Hajj season. Head of the Karawang Regency Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) Office, Rojak, stated that all technical and administrative preparations had reached the final stage. From the initial total quota of 1,818 people, there was a reduction in numbers due to several factors which caused a number of congregants to be forced to postpone their worship this year. The Karawang Ministry of Religion noted that as many as 19 people canceled their departure due to health reasons that were not possible and there were congregants who died before their scheduled departure. Nevertheless, enthusiasm remains high with the profile of the congregation being very diverse, where the oldest congregation is recorded to be 90 years old, while the youngest congregation who will depart this year has just turned 17 years old.According to Rojak, all congregations on the departure manifest list are those who have completed paying off the Hajj Travel Costs (BPIH) according to government regulations. Later, thousands of pilgrims from Karawang will be divided into five Flying Groups (Kloter). A travel scheme has also been arranged, where the first wave is scheduled to land in Medina, while the second wave will go straight to Mecca.

According to the schedule that has been prepared, the group of Karawang Hajj pilgrims who are part of the Bekasi Embarkation (code JKS) will depart via Soekarno-Hatta Airport. The inaugural release ceremony is planned to take place on Friday, April 24 2026, at the Islamic Center Karawang. The plan is that the Karawang Regent will send off the Allah guests directly after they have completed the entire series of district level ritual guidance.Responding to the dynamics of the situation in the Middle East, Rojak emphasized that his party continues to carry out intensive monitoring and coordinates with the West Java Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion. Until now, conditions in Saudi Arabia are reported to remain conducive for the implementation of worship. The Hajj authority ensures that there will be no changes to the previously determined schedule or agenda, so pilgrims are asked to remain calm and focus on maintaining their health. The Karawang Ministry of Religion urges all prospective Hajj pilgrims to prepare optimally physically ahead of departure day. All preparations, from passport documents, visas, to logistics at the Hajj dormitory, are guaranteed to go according to plan. With solid coordination, it is hoped that the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage for Karawang residents can run smoothly, safely and be a successful Hajj.
