The bloody incident which occurred on Wednesday (6/5/2026) at 04.30 WIB claimed the life of a motorcyclist at the scene.The Head of Karawang Police Public Relations, Ipda Cep Wildan, said that this incident involved a Yamaha Mio motorbike with plate number B 3438 UIH and an Isuzu Traga pickup with plate number T 8842 HL. The car was driven by Sahbana Siregar (40), a man from Limo District, Depok City.Based on Wildan's statement when confirmed by media crew, the chronology began when a pickup truck drove from Karawang to Lemahabang, while a motorbike drove in the opposite direction. A violent collision could not be avoided, even though the pickup driver swerved to the left. The police had difficulty identifying the victim because the body was found wearing a Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) uniform. However, East Jomin SPPG confirmed that the poor man was not their employee, which prompted the authorities to carry out further investigations.
The victim's condition was initially reported as anonymous, with the physical characteristics of a man with curly hair and estimated to be around 20 years old. Police officers from the Karawang Police Traffic Unit Gakkum Unit immediately evacuated the victim to Amanda Hospital for medical treatment and a post-mortem.A new bright spot was obtained on Wednesday (6/5) afternoon, when the victim's true identity was finally revealed. The victim was identified as Ahmad Faqihudin (24), a resident of Cilamaya Kulon District, who apparently did not have a working relationship with SPPG Jomin Timur as previously suspected.After the identification process was complete, the victim's family was immediately contacted by the police. Currently, the victim's family is on their way to the hospital to pick up Ahmad Faqihudin's body so that it can be immediately taken home and buried.As a law enforcement measure, the police have secured evidence of the vehicle involved in the accident. Meanwhile, the pickup driver has been detained at the Karawang Police Headquarters to undergo intensive examination regarding the deadly incident that occurred on Jalan Raya Syekh Quro.
