All official vehicles belonging to Regional Work Units (SKPD) are now starting to be collected and centralized at the Gallery or Bale Indung Nyi Pager Asih in order to reduce regional operational costs. This step was taken to ensure that the use of state facilities is more controlled and efficient in accordance with urgent official needs.This policy stipulates that official cars are no longer personal or one person per vehicle, but instead use a pool system that can be used together. The Regent emphasized that vehicles may only be used for external service purposes and are strictly prohibited from being taken home if there is no work agenda. As of 13.10 WIB, it was recorded that 15 vehicles from various agencies such as the Transportation Agency, Satpol PP, and Regional Assistants had been parked neatly at that location.
Apart from controlling assets, the Regent of Aep also issued unique instructions for State Civil Servants (ASN) who live within a radius of less than 5 kilometers from the office. They are encouraged to practice cycling or use public transportation when going to work to reduce fuel consumption and pollution. This policy applies to all levels of bureaucracy, from high-ranking officials to staff, as a form of shared commitment to saving energy.The efficiency implemented does not only target the transportation sector, but also extends to administrative and ceremonial aspects of government. The Karawang Regency Government is now starting to implement an inauguration system without luxury tents and is switching to using Decree Letters (SK) in digital or paperless form to reduce paper usage. The Regent assesses that this modernization step is very crucial to cut the routine expenditure budget which has so far been considered to be further optimized for the public interest.In its implementation, the Regent expressed his appreciation to the Karawang Regional Secretary (Sekda) who played an active role in encouraging the implementation of this transformative policy in all SKPD.
